A Vacuform kit by Combat Models has been available for some years (and is still available from Southern Sky Models!).
This kit is not for the feint hearted and requires considerable skill and patience to build a good model.

In 2007 Anigrand Resins of Hong Kong released their fine resin kit of the C-17A.

The kit comprises 84 beautifully cast resin parts 14 white metal parts for the landing gear assembly and clear resin cast windscreen and cockpit windows. The kit measures 736 mm long by a span of 722 mm.

Includes decals for a USAF aircraft. This is a limited production kit of 250 examples only.

There are some details the modeller must pay attention to regarding the landing gear and provision of external details such as antennas. But unless you consider the price difference of prime importance and you don?t mind a long build to model the vac kit then the Anigrand Resin is the best choice.
