Description
"The Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation CA-12/13/19 Boomerang was a WW2 Australian designed and built fighter. It was produced in a very short time frame as an emergency ?stop-gap? fighter after the Japanese entered WW2 as the RAAF did not have modern front line fighters based in Australia at the time. Though an excellent feat of engineering and construction by the Australian aircraft industry of the time its origins in the Wirraway trainer limited its performance and US supplied fighters of higher performance rendered the Boomerang obsolete as a front line interceptor. The aircraft found its niche in close air support for the Army.

The kit comprises of 167 resin parts 7 clear resin parts PE details and painting masks for the canopy national markings codes and serials. Options are provided for the following aircraft:
  • CA-12 A46-9 Side number ""9"" of No.2 Operational Training Unit (O.T.U.) Mildura 1943
  • CA-13 A46-128 BF-N ""U-Beaut 2"" of No.5 SQN (nose art provided as a decal) &
  • CA-19 A46-211 BF-H No. 5 SQN.
