In 2024, the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) received the first of two Boeing 737 MAX 8 Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) aircraft that will replace the older 737-700 BBJ Special Purpose Aircraft (SPA - seems they're not referred to as VIP aircraft anymore!).
The Special Purpose Aircraft fleet is operated by No. 34 Squadron from Defence Establishment Fairbairn in the Australian Capital Territory.
