Camouflage Conundrum Comment!
Most credible sources agree the first 54 Beaufighters were delivered to the RAAF in the RAF Temperate Land Scheme (TLS) of Earth Brown and Dark Green disruptive upper scheme over Sky Lowers. The aircraft may have been re-conditioned using the RAAF equivalent of RAF colours or in the standard RAAF colours of the period that were the darker toned Earth Brown/Foliage Green uppers and Sky Blue lower surfaces. It is well known that later deliveries of Beaufighter Mk.IC aircraft were in RAF Coastal Command upper surfaces Dark Slate Grey, Extra Dark Sea Grey and some references have A19-54 in this scheme. Throwing a spanner in the works of the instructions, IMHO, most photos of A19-54 show a low contrast between upper colours, that suggest it was in the darker toned RAAF colours.
* Mk.Ic, 'Time Please Gentlemen / Pandemonium', A19-27, H, No.30 Sqn, 1943.
* Mk.TF.X, LX-815 (A19-228), GAF dive brake fitted trials aircraft, Fisherman's Bend, May 1944 in later RAF Coastal Command scheme of white with Extra Dark Sea Grey upper surfaces. Late in 1945, this aircraft was photographed at RAAF Pearce in all over foliage green, with dive brakes removed and fitted with the Sperry autopilot normally associated with GAF built Mk.21.
Markings provide national insignia, codes and serials.

Using DEKL'S:
DEKL'S are very limited run of "boutique" decals produced to fill the gaps in your Australian theme aircraft model collection that the Big Name decal producers of the world are unlikely to release.
These are Laser print decals on continuous carrier film. Each individual design needs to cut out of the sheet.
PLEASE READ THE DECAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIED.
Some designs are supplied with additional 'whites' (for backing) should the modeller wish to use them.
Keep in mind that these Decals and the instruction drawings are not intended as a technical or historical document of the aircraft type. They are produced within practical and economic limitations to provide markings for subjects suitable for intermediate to advanced modellers. Advanced modellers may have access to other references or have differing opinions on the depicted subjects. Please keep in mind that the market for this genre of decals is VERY small.
